We are a small, but growing network of young MBA students. We share our experiences at business school for the benefit of the greater good, and to further encourage prospective YoungMBAs.
Hello, world!
First of all, thanks to Serdar for adding me to the list of Young MBA Bloggers. I believe in the mission of this group, and as a future “Young MBA,” I am excited to start networking with my peers.
Now a little about me. I am originally from Virginia Beach, VA. For the record, I don’t live by the beach. I completed my undergraduate degree at Cornell in 2006. After that, I spent a year at the University of Kentucky pursuing my master’s degree in Sport Management. One year was all I could handle, though, because the academic program there was substandard. I transferred to Indiana University last year, and I’ll be finishing my degree in May. After that I’ll be moving right across the street to the Kelley School here at IU.
Eventually, I’d like to work in sport marketing. My past experience includes internships with the NJ Nets, Vitamin Water, the Philadelphia 76ers, and Indiana Pacers. I plan on majoring in marketing at IU and getting into a position that will utilize my last two degrees (ESPN, Nike, Gatorade…). We will see what happens, a lot can change in two years. As you can tell, I’m a HUGE sports fan. Any Detroit Pistons fans out there?
Thanks again for welcoming me to the site. I look forward to contributing on a variety of topics as I begin working toward my MBA.
Cheers!
